The latest example of Mathieu Lehanneur's architecture is a chic technology-infused hangout that overlooks the Eiffel tower. In true lavish Parisian style, the venue is a 1,000 square meter penthouse that overlooks the city of love.
Architect Mathieu Lehanneur incorporated a massive true trunk-like sculpture made from black electrical cables which erupt from the floor. Huge black poles hang from the ceiling with lights attached to them that light the room and also look like branches coming from the tree.
During the daytime, the ‘Electric’ venue entertains the public as a restaurant and at night, acts as a lounge. In the evenings the intelligently designed venue has soundproofed modules so that live music or club music can be cranked up as loud as the patrons desire without annoying their neighbours. I certainly wouldn’t mind being invited for a night out in this stunning venue!
