Taking a look at this Geocities archive blog makes me nostalgic, but not necessarily in a good way.
The 'One Terabyte of Kilobyte Age' blog is home to thousands of Geocities websites thought long forgotten by the Internet, one of which is randomly loaded when you load up the Tumblr blog. Looking at these Geocities pages today is kind of like digging up the rotting corpse of a loved one, and the results have aged just as poorly as you'd expect. From terrible font choices, to low resolution graphics and intolerable backgrounds, this Geocities archive will make you laugh and cry at the past of the Internet we know today.
Despite how badly these awful websites have aged, Geocities was a great DIY way for common folk to express themselves over the Internet long before social networks like Facebook and Twitter gave everyone a voice over the web.
