From Coin-Collecting Artwork to Rolling Calendar Rulers
Gil Cohen — November 13, 2012 — Art & Design
Known for having a quirky take on all types of home furnishings, Sebastian Bergne designs encompass a wide variety of useful designs.
The designer always approaches his projects from a creative, yet practical perspective. In his world, no object would look as it should and things have a way of deceiving the viewer. Take his twirling alcohol tumblers, aka the Dizzy Whiskey Glass, as an example. These tumblers have a topsy turvy look to them, playing on the fact that the more you drink, the more everything seems to start spinning. He even takes a simple item, such as a writing tool, and turns it into a much more exciting device as he did with his Pencil Dice.
Sebastian Bergne designs are always playfully executed with an especially quirky style aesthetic.
