You might not initially recognize Bookcase by Aissa Logerot as a storage system for paperbacks and hardcovers because it requires you to arrange your volumes in a horizontal manner. The piece is composed of a stack of planks with just a few inches' spacing in between each, forming a long, narrow and short furnishing that can act as a coffee table, a bench and a console as well.
Until you view it from one end, you might not realize that the bookshelf subtly references its materiality. You'll notice that the width of the wooden panels increases towards the middle of the movable, as if the collection of them has come as cuttings from a full rounded tree trunk.
