Making portraits out of unconventional materials is nothing new, however Jason Mecier's, 'Barack Obameat & Meat Romney' are definitely something special. The timely portraits feature the heads of President Barack Obama and candidate Mitt Romney.
In collaboration with Jack Link's Beef Jerky, Mecier made the 3D portraits using jerky entirely to create the portraits. This isn't the first time Mercier has worked with Jack Link's, so he's had a little practice working with the meat.
They also created a video called, 'Meat the Meatheads – The Making of Barack Obameat & Meat Romney', which shows Mercier's process in creating the tasty portraits. It took about 50 bags of jerky and 50 hours to create the mosaics.
