Showcasing a love of nature and carpentry to create amazing stick sculptures, this video, 'Inspired By... Patrick Douglas,' is captivating. These extremely striking tree branch sculptures are a spectacle to look at, and involve an extremely intricate building process that is something to behold.
Douglas works together with various volunteers to to build these sculptures, which are made out of thin tree branches. Douglas bends and shapes the branches into unique positions that are meant to be "galvanizing shapes that get attention."
Shywood Eyewear and Experimenting With Nature have come together to present the video series seeks to showcase some of the artists, engineers, musicians and architects living in the Pacific Northwest area of Portland.
