This Mashable 'Men vs. Women' Study Compares Genders

This infographic from the Mashable blog looks at the social media sites that men and women use the most. According to the study, 56% of women are using social sites, which is the equivalent of 81 million women.

It also states that both Facebook and Twitter are dominated by female users. Women are apparently also more likely to comment on Facebook posts and update their status several times a day in comparison to men. Pinterest is also dominated by women, who achieve a whopping 82% majority on the photo-based site. A shocking revelation made in the study is that women over the age of 55 spend more time playing online games then males between the ages of 15 to 34.

Men are most active on sites like Linkedin, Google+ and Reddit. In conclusion, women are far more active on social-media sites than men. These insights are crucial for marketers who are looking to target a certain niche of individuals.
