To enhance the look and function of an Amsterdam canal, this coiling structure is a bridge concept proposal by Margot Krasojevic that's designed to reel in fresh water.
The citizens in Amsterdam are supplied with clean and fresh water pumped from Lake Ijsselmeer at least three times a week. That won't be necessary with Krasojevic's concept, as it's designed to purify water by pumping tainted and dirty canal water through steel tubes. Here, the water is filtered and creates a flow of sanitized water.
This water vortex bridge acts as a primary cleanup process for the canal and also a sanctuary for birds and other wildlife. Margot Krasojevic also included a coffee shop for pedestrians and cyclists who can relax while passing through the bridge.
