The 'World Map of Dominating Websites' puts website usage into perspective in a geographical context. As it turns out, Google has essentially taken over the world and cyberspace with Facebook as a close, but not too-close, competitor. As the most popular search engine and web service in the world Google has dominated the web in places like North America, Africa, Australia, Greenland, Most of Europe, South America and South Asia.
The internet competitors are in a tough business as Google has so much of the world under its cyber thumb. Some impressive shout outs to Facebook, Yahoo and Yandex which has essentially taken over all of Russia.
The 'World Map of Dominating Websites' is an interesting cyber field landmine that will be an interesting sight to keep an eye one over the next few years.
