The Louis Vuitton 'LV/MJ: Olivier Zahm Diary' debuted at the closing of the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. The film was created in collaboration with founder of the French magazine Purple Olivier Zahm for Louis Vuitton’s online magazine ‘New, Now.’ It captures Olivier Zahm’s experience as he attends the Louis Vuitton 2012 Runway Collection during Paris Fashion Week as well as the the grand opening of the Marc Jacobs Louis Vuitton Exhibition.
Zahm used the train that was used during the shows, as well as model Alice Aufrey, in order to create a vague narrative that captures the fashion house’s style. Drawing upon inspiration from French New Wave director Jean-Luc Godard’s 1963 Brigitte Bardot-starring film ‘Contempt,’ Zahm creates a successfully chic, yet artistically valuable fashion film.
