The Gravure Magazine Summer 2012 editorial, featuring Australian model Simone Kerr, does an excellent job of providing a modern twist on the old money look. The images reveal Kerr spread out among opulent chandeliers and marble countertops, gazing at the camera with her usual self-assured nature.
While this Greg Sorensen production screams aristocracy in its most authentic sense, Kerr updates the aesthetic appeal associated with the societal class in the most shocking of ways. The gilded candelabras and lavish chandeliers are contrasted with Kerr's technicolor bodysuits and a revealing pair of black, high-waist shorts. The dark lighting captured by Sorensen furthers the dramatic appeal, and given the infusion of seductive notes to an otherwise proper setting here, this choice was expert to say the least.
