Amber Mahoney, a Washington, DC-based alternative wedding and documentary photographer, has created The Present Company Project to interact with complete strangers. The theme: a stranger, a Polaroid and a random question documents a chance encounter of Mahoney with, well, anyone.
Mahoney approaches strangers asking, “if you could ask a perfect stranger anything in the world, what would it be?” or “what is one thing you’d like people to know about you?” In an attempt to keep answers both open ended and revealing. Responses, along with a Polaroid of the person, are then uploaded to The Present Company Project tumblr. Answers range from, "May I have your permission to be an astronaut?" to, "if you die tonight will you go to heaven or hell?"
