The Magic Angle Sculptures by John V Muntean are a series of tiny wooden figures that change shadows by holding them at a certain point.
Without light and a white background the wooden shapes just look like pieces of abstract art. One can see what appears to be heads and legs but it's still unclear. When held up against a white piece of paper with a light shining behind it, the wooden shape casts a shadow of a man dancing or an elephant. By simply turning the shape in a different direction, a completely new shadow is cast that may be a man jumping though the air or a coyote.
Designing these tiny figures must have been extremely difficult because one must focus on creating multiple images from one piece of wood. The Magic Angle Sculptures by John V Muntean shed some light on how creative one can be with shadows.
