Socially Sustainable Fashion

'All of Us Revolution' Encourages Women to Rethink Consumption

All of Us Revolution is a social business that aims to get women to reconsider the way they consume. The entire {r}evolution apparel collection comprises 10 items that can be worn 10 different ways, designed to encourage customers to do more with less. The Versalette, which looks like a scarf but can be transformed into a shirt, dress, and even a bag, can be worn 15 different ways.

The fair trade fashion company also wants its customers to consider where the products they purchase come from and how they're made in order to bring awareness to the triple bottom line. All of Us Revolution has dedicated their website to sharing the ethical ways in which they treat people and planet through a blog on entrepreneurship, fair trade, fashion and travel.

The company was founded by Kristin Glenn and Shannon Whitehead, Americans who met while traveling, and decided to launch a social business after they saw the damage of the fashion industry in South America. They created their business with the philosophy that you can have it all, that you don't need to wait until retirement to enjoy life or give back.

"We’re going to have it all today. Adventure. Hard work. Purpose," their site says. "The opportunity to give back. We’re going to start a journey, with no destination but to live by our own terms and help others do the same along the way. There is no 'one day' in our philosophy; only today, and we believe the possibilities abound."
