Luxuriously Laid-Back Menswear

The Acne Fall/Winter 2012 Collection is Aimed at Youths

— January 25, 2012 — Fashion
Focusing on bold pops of the color red and some jewel-toned color fabrics, the new Acne Fall/Winter 2012 collection adds a fair amount of color and pattern to its modern line of suited separates, casual wear and outerwear. And, although it seems to be straying away from the more androgynous styles of asymmetrical pieces with draping details that it has done in the past, the label still infuses its signature style and postmodern tailoring into its garments.

Polka dot patters, shiny leathers and fury-textured sweaters are key elements used to unify this diverse collection. Acne has been creating quite a name for itself as a youth brand in recent years and is available is specialty boutiques almost everywhere. The new Acne Fall/Winter 2012 line will surely be one that brings even more attention to this up-and-coming fashion label.
Trend Themes
1. Bold Color Patterns in Menswear - Opportunity for textile and clothing industries to produce more daring designs and break away from traditional menswear styles.
2. Youth Market Targeted Menswear - Opportunity for retail and fashion industries to focus on marketing and producing fashionable clothing for younger demographics.
3. Postmodern Tailoring and Suited Separates in Casual Wear - Opportunity for fashion and clothing industries to create and market hybrid styles that cater to both formal and informal occasions.
Industry Implications
1. Textile - Clothing manufacturers can innovate new producing techniques that allow for bold color patterns and experimental designs in menswear.
2. Retail - Retailers can focus on establishing a relationship with younger demographics similar to that of Acne to appeal to the unique and often unpredictable market outside of the traditional consumer base.
3. Fashion - Fashion designers can bridge the gap between traditional formal wear and casual clothing.
