Ryan Chu's Anglepoise Arc Light is a 21st century update of the classic anglepoise lamp design. Chu's lamp was designed for the British Lighting Company for their new 'Play' line. The lamp updates the iconic anglepoise design with gesture-based controls and LED bulbs.
The Anglepoise Arc Light is a thin lamp with the shape of a semi-circle. The middle portion of the lamp is filled with LED bulbs that turn on and off using gesture controls. To turn the lamp on, all one has to do is simply move a hand over its head. The lamp itself is made out of recycled materials and its LED bulbs are designed to last substantially longer than other light bulbs.
