'May the Horse Live in Me' Blurs the Line Between Humans and Animals

The line between human and animal was greatly blurred recently in 'May the Horse Live in Me.' 'May the Horse Live in Me' was a live art performance held in Luxembourg in which French artist Marion Laval-Jeantet of Art Orienté objet injected herself with horse blood plasma.
Normally crossing human blood with animal blood is a recipe for death, but Laval-Jeantet had been preparing herself for months with injections containing horse immunoglobulins. After her injection, the artist donned a pair of horse stilts and led a horse communication ritual with a black horse. Laval-Jeantet's blood was then drawn and freeze-dried so that it could be examined at a later date. With regards to the physical effects of the transfusion, the artist said, "I was not in my usual body. I was hyper-powerful, hyper-sensitive, hyper-nervous and very diffident.
