This wouldn't be the first time Greenpeace is lampooning Star Wars in order to take a real jab at Volkswagen, but it is the cutest time.
If you recall, the environmental advocacy group launched a Super Bowl ad earlier this year, calling on viewers to join the rebellion, save the Earth and put an end to the destructive habits of Volkswagen. Continuing their 'Dark Side of Volkswagen' campaign, Greenpeace just released another video which hopes to put even more pressure on the car manufacturer.
By all standards, Volkswagen is not an environmentally sustainable company: It rarely installs fuel-efficient engines in new models, regularly opposes U.S. legislation which would slow down climate change and lobbies against efficiency standards. But is Greenpeace truly getting to the heart of the issue?
For now, it's fine that viewers chuckle at the infallible cuteness of the child actors, but it's important that they remember the world-harming effects of cars and vehicle manufacturers.
