Peter Ravn is a Danish artist, architect and designer. A graduate of the Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Peter Ravn only began seriously participating in art in the early 2000s, but was already established as a director in his native Netherlands for developing some of the most memorable music videos in the history of Scandinavian rock and pop music.
A look at Peter Ravn's selected portfolio shows a series of well-detailed illustrations that infuse hyperrealism with elements of surrealism. Many of the key pieces highlight pieces that juxtapose two identically dressed men engaged in different actions. One painting features two men butting heads while screaming, another sees two men felled men with their feet in the air, and another shows two men dressed in suits admiring their outfits.
Peter Ravn's artwork will be exhibited at the J.C. Jacobsen's 3rd Portrait Exhibition at the Museum of National History at the Frederiksborg Castle, in Hillerod, Denmark (May 6th-July 31st, 2011) and the Art Brescia museum, in Brescia, Italy (Sept 3rd-Nov 30th, 2011).
