The Date Stapler is a combination label maker and stapler designed by Gonglue Jiang. The Date Stapler does exactly what its namesake suggests; it dates everything it staples.
If you are as unorganized as I am, the Date Stapler is a God send. The date is printed right below the staple ensuring that you'll never forget what was done when.
Putting dates next to staples is all well and good, but I would really like to see this design expanded a little more. Adding even a small alphabet wheel could greatly increase the organizational power of this design. There isn't much in the way of innovation when it comes to the design of office supplies. It is nice to see a designer thinking outside the box when it comes to something as seemingly simple as a stapler.
