Hi, I'm Olivia and a graduate of York University B.A. Hons. Communications program. I love reading, writing, current affairs, pop culture, trends, Hollywood and gym. I've always been fascinated with magazines and newspapers and would definitely want to work in one of these one day. What is unique that's not in your bio?
I love quoting dialogues from films as regular conversation content.
What's your favorite accomplishment?
This past summer (2015), I collaborated with a couple of peers and we created an entire magazine - complete with ads, editorials, and letter from the editor - subverting the dominant trends in the mainstream media. The purpose of this subversion was to make the magazine more diverse and representative of different (marginalized) groups in our society. The magazine was called 'Edify'.
How do you define cool?
Something that is edgy, yet doesn't try too hard to impress. It should also be culturally and socially appropriate (i.e. not misrepresented in an offensive manner), because disrespecting cultural identities is never cool.
What is your secret to uncovering trends?
Vigilance. In my opinion, the best way to spot a trend is to keep one's eyes, ears and mind open to their surrounding.
What do you enjoy most about Trend Hunter?
I like how there's something for everyone at Trend Hunter.

Use key words, and keep the flow of the article smooth.

I usually go for a walk or a run and then I'm recharged.
