In July, 1947, a UFO crash was reported in Roswell, New Mexico. At the time, the US Military claimed that the incident did not involve a UFO, but rather a top-secret weather balloon. However, every summer, the town celebrates the anniversary with a UFO festival.
Now, town officials are planning an alien theme park called the Alien Apex Resort, which will be privately built and managed and could open as early as 2010. The proposed theme park will cover 60 to 80 acres, expanding to 150 acres in later years.
