This Kacie Kinzer motivational keynote discusses the way that human beings, despite sometimes assuming an outer shell of selfishness and arrogance, possess an engrained desire to help those in need.
Her speech delves into the instinctual nature of human beings and the way that people possess compassion and a desire to interact with others even when they may be disconnected from that part of themselves in an urban setting.
The speaker, who is an interactive artist and designer, created a robot called the 'Tweenbot.' The purpose of its completion was to see whether scurrying passersby in New York City would stop to assist it in getting to its destination. Surprisingly, the vast majority of the subjects documented took time to put the tiny droid back on course.
Despite the extremely stressful and time-crunched lives that most people lead and the way that communication between those in society is often lacking, this keynote displays the power of compassion.
