I was wondering who I should try to interview… and also, what type of people?
right now, I have a couple dozen lined up in the following categories:
- Professors
- CEOs
- Marketers
- Bloggers
But it would be pretty cool to expand this into more diverse areas:
- Artists (only 1 so far)
- Kids (maybe successful young entrepreneurs or something)
- ??
+ more “global” representation
+ companies/ people profiled in trends. Obviously the more “famous ones” who pulled in traffic. Or those who somehow got “affected” by the news… is there a way to check feedback?
+ possible users of the news… not sure how that will work - but perhaps a suggestion for the future when trendhunter.com has more identifiable clients
+ futurists/ trendhunters
P.S. I have a question: can any trendhunter here conduct interviews? I see that as one of the post categories, and have been wondering about it.
Hi Jeremy, last week(Trendcandy) you wrote about having dinner with the owner(s) of Picaboo. I was very intrigued that you had actually met and had dinner with the owner(s) of this company. This is a company that I believe you featured as a trend some years earlier. The follow up article you posted was personal and interesting enough to make me take a closer look at Picaboo. I have already put together 2 books and have sent a dozen friends links to Picaboo as well as Trend Hunter. For me, you basically endorsed this company and what they do. Trend Hunter or personal interviews with the owners of companies/trends may be percieved as endorsments without actually doing so. It’s a great way to help market Trend Hunter. Also, posting your interview on the companies website can only drive traffic back to you. You are providing an advertising information service to all of these trends/companies by posting them on your site and recieving nothing in return from them. Your site is driven by trend hunters and not the trend makers. A link to you is the least they could do. Or maybe a link stating - Featured on Trend Hunter (Tag). I found nothing on Picaboo about you! On another note, have to tried to sell your articles from TRENDCANDY Newsletter to local or national newspapers or magazines as a feature writer? I hope this helps. Thanks Michael Bradt
Great Job! I have been following “Trend Hunter” from almost day 1 and was delighted to see you recently as a keynote speaker at the CPSI (Creative Problem Solving Institute) International Convention. For interviews, you might consider experts and authors in the Creativity Field and Leaders of Product Ideation Teams. Mind Camp Weekend is coming up in Toronto in September http://mindcamp.org
and the International Conference on Creativity in South Africa this October http://www.sacreativity.com Between those two conferences, ACE (The Atlanta Creativity Exchange) and CPSI, you are at the heart and soul of a global creative community. Hope to see you there.
Hi,Any further updates on this thread? Hope to see more replies one of these days, especially feedbacks from the thread starter. Seems like this thread has been inactive for such a long time. Think topic should be closed.
