Japan's Latest FashionI think it has something to do with pollution, disease, among other things. It's part of being sanitary I suppose, thats the Japanese way. Originally I'm sure it started out that way, then it became some sort of fetish, then people started wearing them just as accessories and no other reason, or a combination of all three reasons.
