Petz Scholtus’ Bidon Lamp project details how you can turn any old plastic jug or bottle into your own lighting solution. Bidon means “barrel” or “can” in Spanish, and judging from Scholtus’ examples in…

You have to use CFL lights or uv bulbs in these contraptions, if you used an incandescent light it would probably melt the plastic milk jug. Or worse, start a fire.

Christopher Swain is swimming for a cause. This environmentalist is swimming to Washington, butstopping along the way to teach kids about water pollution. In solidarity with Swain's cause, "Dirty for…

I guess when it comes to the environment any publicity is good publicity. Of course that's what PETA believes too. I'm also a believer in pure products that help our mother earth too.

Are you anal about being exactly on time? Then you probably want to avoid this Limor Yaron Presto watch designed for Nike. As you can see it takes it's uniqueness from an hourglass. The lower dial shows…

Is that liquid it's filling up with or just an LCD? It would be even better if it made quiet sound of a waterfall as it filled up the bottom....of wait, everyone would have to go to the bathroom more often. At least I give them kudos on coming up something new. Don't think it will make it on the market since it's a little too edgy. Now if Angelina Jolie started to wear this watch then everyone would want it. It's amazing how celebrities can help promote products.

Growing up as kids, the most futuristic item we could imagine back then was a watch that would work as a phone. We actually had a spy kit with a fake watch phone. Well, watch phones have become a reality…

These watch phones will not be truly practical until the size/weight drops some more & the voice recognition technology improves for the bluetooth. I love the concept of not having to drag my phone around and not getting busted in NYC for using a cellphone while driving. If they can get one of these down to less than $500 I believe they would have some traction OR if you could attach you video sunglasses to it to watch movies on a virtual big screen it would also help.

Of course, those of us from the old guard will keep our old distinguished watches for some time to come.

The 'Big Bang King Power' is another amazing launch by luxury watch designer Hublot. The 'Big Bang King Power' is a watch with an extreme, robust design. This watch stays true to the Big Bang family of…

Hublot just doesn't carry the same prestige as the Rolex, Cartier, Patek Philippe, & Piguet. I've worn them & seen them on others but my favorite will always rest with the Classics.

The Titanic watch is hands down a great conversation starter but might cause someone to break with their own rendition of Celine Dion's "My heart will go on". A true conversation piece would be the Rolex from Sedam Hussein's estate. That Rolex will cause no singing to happen, I promise. Can't waiut to see the post "Top 20 watches of 2008". When is that coming out?

We've seen knock off Gucci bags, Prada wallets, Rolex watches and Dior sunglasses. China sells loads of fake iPods and iPhones. And, while we've seen people try to fake luxury but adding big brand emblems…

If they actually put more Toyota or Honda parts in it I think they could sell it for more :-) So if they are duplicating expensive cars, what's next, copying exotic travel destinations in your local suburb.... oh wait... Disney World does that.

Lets face it. If you cant afford a Rolex or Tag, kids watches on us trendy type grown ups are almost the next best thing. As all those in the UK know, Cartoon Network's Ben 10 simply rocks. If you have…

My son got the BETA version of this watch. When he activated it, he became a turtle (probably made in China). Luckily for me it only lasted a few minutes before he became my little boy again. I sold it on eBay to some poor soul. Nexttime I think I will buy a Rolex or a Tag, at least I know what to expect.

On a side note, the Ben 10 alien force series is not remotely as good as the original. That's what my 5 year old says.... of course he may still be angry about the whole turtle incident.

I think that APO is going to have a tough time selling jeans at even $4,000 a pop in this economy. Heck, even diamond jewelry sales were down for the Valentine's day season. I'm sure the chocolate tatoo kit still probably did well.

Why bother wearing a watch you can read? With some of the world's most innovative watches, you won't be able to tell time (easily), but you'll certainly make a statement. The aspirational days of the…

I'm surprised you don't have the LG GD910 wristwatch phone rumored to cost 1000 GBP. It makes sense to combine phones with watches. If you have a watch with a small bluetooth headset you don't need a pocket to store your phone anymore. Now we just need a holographic keyboard to appear or perfect voice translation from the bluetooth for your twitter feed. It seems like a perfect world to me. Most of these watches don't seem like they would capture the attention of mainstream users. Seems like a good deal when comparing to the used rolex out there on the market.
