As an act of defiance and rebelliousness against the current trend towards minimalistic high tech gadgets, designers Ingo Strobel and Katja Hiendlmayer have come up with this ironic one-off iPod Island… |
Hi I was positively surprised by finding my work here, so thanks for interest and mentioning me. As for the comment - the work is a series of one off art pieces within a larger project, so it is an ironic statement, and as such not planned to go into mass production. I mention this as a reasonable argument for the high pricing. If the product would be a mass product, it would have to be more economic for entering any kind of market, but then it would righteously be regarded very impractial. for those of you who understand where this comes from, enjoy. For anybody else - please do not take it seriously as a mass product, but as a piece of art, and therefore if you feel like criticizing it, do so within the range of art criticism. best regards ingo ingo strobel on Jul 30, 8:15 AM
