First comes the convenient user interface that fits our natural forms of communication (pinch zoom, accelerometers, etc.), then we will learn to control the interface with our minds, later the interface will be integrated into reality. Allowing us to manipulate and improve reality as we wish. - lil0pil0

It's only 2007 and we've already seen a number of gecko robots. Why not? Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) have developed a gecko-like robot with uber-sticky fibres on its feet - only this… |
I was watching a show on the Science channel about geckos, and these little guys are crazy, they recently discovered that these little guys have these insane microscopic hairs that bond with the surface they are climbing on a molecular level! I know this robot is very good, and it brings us closer to mimicking nature, but we are not there yet. I can not wait until we are! - lil0pil0

Chairs seem to be a designers deciding distinction factor, and this chair by Jake Phipps is a genius and elegant signature. - lil0pil0

I chose this brand for my bottle stop project, my sister tipped me on to its growing popularity last year. It was a popular drink in the European club scene but was recently brought over to the Americas 2004. - lil0pil0

Think of the new products that house this technology. I wonder if this is at all related to the soon to be relased paper thin Dell Monitor. - lil0pil0

I wouldn’t mind carrying that around, along with my mace concealing pen, but they seriously have to make these things look more attractive. So that people would wear them on a day-to-day bases and only use them when needed, like rings that activate when my pulse rises, or a pretty bracelet with a little mace beaded charm. - lil0pil0

Thats so Crazy! I love it, its simple it does the job, they used nature as an example, and it moves so freely. I'm almost a little scared of running into big brother poolside. - lil0pil0

Well, we really are living in the future, so far in fact, that there is no longer a need to control video games with our hands! That's idea I'm getting from ProjectEpoc, a helmet like mind controller… |
They are currently trying to make computers controlled by hand gestures; soon it will be with the mind. I cannot wait to see 3d modeling programs or claytronics (programmable matter) being manipulated with the mind. Just think of the Freudian slips, or the ways we learn to work around constant mental bombardment. Would the subconscious cease to exist? - lil0pil0

This bridge looks like an ordinary outdoor sculpture but actually it is a hydraulic bridge that can uncurl itself for the boats traffic. This is one of many projects by Thomas Heatherwick, who bbc referrs… |
That does not make sense. This is a designed element beautiful and functional but not portable. If it were built longer it would also be larger in its compressed state, making transport ridicules. This is not for aid and rescue because there are simpler more compact bridges for that. This is beautiful and perfect as it is, and the designer is a force to be reckoned with. - lil0pil0

Measuring 0.092 mm, the new paper-thin DVDs from Hitachi / Maxell feature Stacked Volumetric Optical Disc (SVOC) techonology. That means 'thin'. |
