Although this trend has a relatively small following in the US, as of today, the interest in this subculture is getting more coverage and print as an up and coming piece of the underground culture network.… |
Thanks Jeremy, Beth and Rei for all of your input. I live in a relatively small area where all of this is a new trend. It is all very interesting to me...the music, the fashion and the beliefs of the different subcultures. The cyberculture may not be a new trend, but here in the southwest it definitely hasn't started being seen in the main stream clubs until just recently. Rei....if you have the link to a more fitting video...I'd be glad to post it instead and I will definately check out your forum. Lacy Leathers on Jul 1, 10:16 PM

Thanks so much for your comment. I would love to hear more about your 'community'. This 'subculture' is very interesting to me as I am an entertainer and it is now creeping into the US market. I will be exploring this topic more in the near future. Lacy Leathers on Jul 1, 1:10 PM

I'm glad to hear of a past time for young people that doesn't include getting in trouble with the law for a change. As far as banning the shuffle in public places....I get really disgusted when the 'powers that be' continually try to find ways to shut down harmless youth activities ( like they did skateboarding here in the states). After all, who could really be harmed by dancing? Lacy Leathers on Jun 30, 12:16 PM

Absolutely right. Some of these shufflers really have an amazing talent. I was in awe at the young man in the video here. Thanks for your comment! Lacy Leathers on Jun 29, 2:40 PM
