JBS mens underwear new campaign employs the slogan "Men do not want to look at naked men". So what do they do? They use partially-nude hot females in a super naughty, super provocative maxim-like shoot… |
Good point but I guess this is because labour unions and women rights interest groups are much more powerful than muslim NGOs. Also we are not very religious so we have difficulties in understanding what all the fuzz is about while equality between sexes is really something people care about. In other words discriminating women is much worse than discriminating religion. - Jonas Juhler Hansen

The complaint (targeted at the print ads) came from all the major labour unions and women rights organisations and the Ombudsman found that the ads depicted women in a degrading way reducing them to merely sex objects.
Sexual harassment and women rights are big - and sensitive - issues in Denmark så lots of ads with sexual undertones are faced with that kind of criticism.
A couple of years ago this ad was also removed by the Ombudsman for being sexist: http://i2-images.tv2.dk/s/58/187258-bbc633a433a71dd8dbb790665f0c0e92.jpeg - Jonas Juhler Hansen

Being from Denmark (where the ads were published back in oct 07) I can inform you that the series was quickly withdrawn due to heavy criticism of being discriminating to women.
Last week the critique was backed by the Ombudsman, so the ads are now officially contraband in Denmark... :) - Jonas Juhler Hansen
