I was watching an "I Love Lucy" rerun recently and was shocked to hear Lucy say she wore a size 12. She had an itty-bitty waist, she couldn't possibly fill out a size 12! As it turns out, dressmakers have… 		This isn't just a womenswear thing - men's clothing in America is sized at least 2 sizes larger than UK sizes... This is true even within some brands, for example Ralph Lauren and Lacoste polo shirts are both cut differently for the US market - terrible if you're skinny.
