no, not shocking. this is precisely why there are (used to be) high schools for pregnant teens. so that the influence is removed from the primary school and that it doesn't become a trend. i cringe when i read about people fighting the separation of pregnant teens into high schools that can prepare them for the reality, while preserving the other school's focus on education.
