Hi there. Yes, you're right, it's a strange combination, but becomes shameful when you realize that none of the pre-Columbian indigenous that lived in Colombia used that kind of outfits, most seen on American movies, and the music they play is not real folklore but a remake of commercial music played in Andean music style. I live in Bogotá, and can tell you this is not what Colombian indigenous dress-up like, and what they're selling is just cheap awful music. Please, tourists, DON'T think thats Colombian culture, is just a sad show performed by people with no respect for their ancestors and a family to feed. Sorry and thanks. Bixarro on Nov 11, 3:47 AM
