For 80 Grand, NY Governor Spitzer could bought this diamond flooded watch, had money left over, and gotten what he wanted at home. IceLink has a five time zone watch with 18K pink or white gold case with 6 carats of diamonds on the face. The coolest face has diamonds that are floating around. Mothe… |
@60: I just stated my personal opinion as one of the "readers". Your hypothesis that "It isn't to readers" is thus not correct. I disagree with you that the boring factor is only about iPods and phones and not about watches. My opinion was about the product itself not your post - Ayman Helweh

One man's prostitution scandal is another man's marketing gold. I kid you not, this is an official Virgin Mobile Canada ad. The disgraced New York governor Eliot Spitzer, aka Client #9, is featured in the ad musing under a thought bubble: "I'm tired of being treated like a number..." The ad then sa… |
I agree with you Lourdes. When a hypocriate falls its even worse. I wonder if he will get paid by Virgin for being featured ion the ad, lol. He will need the money after for sure pretty soon. - Ayman Helweh

All kids hated wearing glasses in their childhood. But that was a long time ago. Glasses are not only chic and kinky but colorful and versatile. I'm simply inlove with these new glasses from Futura Laboratories, from the S/S 2008 Collection. They come in black shades, with an interesting shape, rein… |

If you are still planning to buy an Apple iPhone, keep waiting. If you can wait until 2009 or even 2010, you could grab one that it will run the Intel processor like all the iMacs do now when the new phones… |
If "According to Charlie Demerjian at The Inquirer" then it is still a rumor. Plus, "in a year or two" is too long and vague to hold off your iPhone purchase. All gadgets evolve in two years regardless of this rumor - Ayman Helweh

With the recent drama surrounding Britney Spears, the world's awareness was raised concerning the issue of how close paparazzi can get to the celebrity and how far they could push the privacy and public… |
I am with ya all the way Terri. Not everything has to be extreme, either allow freedom of press or block it. Any profession needs regulations and control, from doctors to lawyers. And the state and nature of press and paparazzi has dramatically changed in the last 10 years, which calls for a review and re-thinking of the laws. Sometimes we hold ideals high, but when you are the subject of scrutiny you see under a different light. - Ayman Helweh

Apparently when it rains in Austin, it pours Zappos.com ads. The online shoe retailing giants made their presence very prominent at SXSW in Austin in this week. Not exactly what I expected from the weather… |

Like many tech gadgets on the market today, the smaller the size, the better. Computer mice have gone from regular to mini- and now super mini, fingertip size. The Swiftpoint Slider will be on the market soon to capture more of the mobile computer users. Holding it like a pen, the input device nee… |

This is hands down the most non-traditional and hilarious guerilla viral marketing campaign I have ever seen. "The Bra Invasion" campaign started in Milan, Italy a few days ago to promote and hype the TV show "Californication." Groups took to the street hanging bras everywhere, bikes, cars, street l… |

Space the final frontier. Can the ingenuity of carbon forms overcome the universal paradigm that states your stuff expands to fill your space? Yes. Decadrages marks the BedUP, a bed that falls from the sky like a used up spy satellite. When you are ready to snooze, the bed lowers to a pre-determined… |

By now just about all of us have grown sick of sparkly gadgets... it's the now very mainstream trend we at Trend Hunter are now simply referring to as the "Bling Bling Boring" craze. As a final adieu… |
I am totally on-board with this idea. Unless there is something unique or of artistic-value, just blinging a gadget with diamonds and such is really non-news anymore - Ayman Helweh

Nine Inch Nails announced that they are cutting out the middleman - namely the huge music producers - to bring their music to the masses thru downloading. Needless to say the radio and music suits freaked. As more artists see their contracts come up for renewal expect this wave to become huge. |

Here's a sneak peak at some of the rough formatting for a new front page... You'll note that it has more of a magazine feel to it. Note that I haven't been getting into the details (like graphic resizing or making sure everything is there), but the design should give you a good idea of what's next.… |
Yeah, I know the images are automatically adjusted in the featured viw. But I have seen so many trends (mine included) where the picture sizes are so varied, it disturbs the look of the trend layout. I agree with Em that pictures are an important part of the trend, so we should try to present them as nicely as we could. sometimes all it needs is resizing or cropping a part to make them look nice and adjusted inside the trend - Ayman Helweh

There has been a lot of "wooden" trends on this site recently but for me the work of Wisconcin based Michael T. Rea's work really does stand out above the rest. His work has several categories such as Space, Rock & Roll, War, Aquatic - and I think the detail in all of his work is awesome. If you l… |
Yep, it is frustrating and counter-productive, but it happens to us all :). The name used was 'Mike Rea' instead of 'Michael Rea', hence your search came up empty. The trend was only published on Marc 1, a few days ago. I am surprised you did not read it since you are obviously are in the subject.
