Expobank, a leading Russian bank, has pushed the boat out with their 2008 calender which features some of their female workers in scantily clad, risque poses. To be fair, it really does beat the Halifax… |
We so should do a trend hunter calender - everyone could take their pictures from around the World and send in. Does not have to be rude!!! Could be virtual and would be hilarious!!! - Cowbag

I was just having a conversation with friends about how geeks represent the new cool. As a self-proclaimed gadget freak who also reads too much, I would wear this Nerd ring by Fred Flare with pride. An… |

PETA must be really proud with the outcome of its radical campaigns as another retailer has promised to stop using fur in its products. Cole Haan is the latest retailer to have pledged to go fur-free. By Fall 2008, consumers will witness an animal-loving, fur-free Cole Haan. According to the Nike… |

The UK's pork industry has been hurting pretty badly, but pig farmers aren't getting discouraged yet. At least not until they've tested the powers of online virals. A group of about 20-30 farmers gathered… |

Now *Muslimahs can enjoy wearing modest swimming suits and participate at water sports, jump in to the pool, relax in a jacuzzi or dive into the sea. Most important they are now able to stay fit with swimming and aqua-aerobic. Modest swimwaer is gaining in popularity also with non Muslim women as s… |
Oliver can you rewrite this trend so it is about what Muslim women have to wear when swimming rather than the fact they have to do it. There is so much new stuff in this area... - Cowbag

Some of you may have noticed Trend Hunter was done for a few hour last night... but it could not have been for a better reason! One of our newest Trend Hunters, AyMan, had posted a trend that was literally so hot, our servers couldn't handle the sizzle; it was just way too much traffic -- and THAT i… |

Every woman's dream, and every single man's wish - self cleaning clothes. Skid marks really gross you out? Reseachers in Australian and China have made wool and silk with a nano particle coating, that will make the dirt and stain and stink disappear. Since wool and silk are the most used fabric in c… |
Duplicate it may be - but written better and covers "self cleaning" trend better than simply self cleaning socks for what my opinion is worth. - Cowbag

Always had a great idea to kill yourself, but wondered if it would really work? 90 Day Jane writes that she is going to kill herself and is soliciting ideas. She says she isn't depressed and nothing horrible has happened. We have all had blogger's block, but this is ridiculous. She says she just wan… |
Ok for what it is worth guys I think this is massively bad taste and most certainly should not be posted at all, ever. In the UK at the moment there is a rash of deaths and a lot of studies on how the online media contribute to this. It's proven not scare doctoring. I don't think sites such as above should be given an ounce of publicity as it all generates "ideas" on how to kill yourself. Clearly every single death is a deeply sad event. I don't even think it should be allowed to stay in a personal portfolio. Soz :-( - Cowbag

This has just got massive coverage in week-end media in the UK. So whilst "not trendy enough" now in some peeps eyes it will be a hot trend very soon. Guess just ahead of the times which is what TH is all about.

These new uniforms by Peru's anti riot police are truly awesome - they were seen parading yesterday for the first time and have been described as Judge Dread meets Batman. The picture says it all. |

Leggie-legs are the brand new fashion item inspired by an odd combination of 1960's bell bottoms and 1980's leg warmers. The designers spin these major trends from these eras together while giving them… |

This is fast-food innovation at its finest - a vessel that holds your drink in the bottom and your entree in the top. This meal-idea comes to us from BBQ Chicken, a South Korea–based fried chicken chain with restaurants in New York, New Jersey, and North Carolina. Available in two sizes, 20-ounces… |

In a recent poll run by You and Your magazine it was said that 1 in 5 brides would want their bridesmaids to sign and abide to a contract or get the boot. For better or for worse, as the list of things in the contract go on they only seem to be getting worse. Bridesmaids would have to ensure that n… |
Hilarious idea - but in the UK (where the story comes from) the consensus in the other media if that the results were made up for PR reasons (SHOCK). I am quite tempting of a similar contract for grooms to sign though... - Cowbag

The unique and curious Ivrea Carnival is claimed to be the most ancient carnival in the world. It takes place in the Medieval town of Ivrea in Piedmont, Italy. The Carnival is a festivity of ancient origins (end of 12th century) which recalls, among other things, the rebellion of Ivrea against the R… |
I think this festival is fantastic (and would LOVE to go) but is it really a 'new' trend AA? "it is claimed to be the most ancient carnival in the world". If so shot gun adding eater egg hunts on in March ;-) - Cowbag
