I’m an American born Technical Writer working in Israel’s Silicon Wadi. I have always been an early adopter.

I grew up in Clifton, New Jersey and Miami Beach, before it was cool (missed that trend).Although athletic, something was pulling me over to the geek-side an I found myself in the first high school computer class (1977) in the state of Florida. I bought the first “portable” computer, the Osbourne 1 (1981, 24.5lbs, 64K RAM 5” monitor) and attended the Universities of Florida and Colorado.

In 1983 I moved to Israel served in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) and settled an agricultural lifestyle on a kibbutz, for a while. Somewhere in the late 80’s/ early 90’s the cows started wearing transponders on their ankles that wireless linked to receivers (receivers in turn linked to a computer database) in the milking parlor that told us how much milk to expect from this cow and worn us if she had given too little, among other things. At more or less the same time the kibbutz was hooked up to the Internet and I was hooked on hi-tech again. Soon after, I left to pursue a career in Technical Writing.
