I am a third year student at the University of Western Ontario, studying Consumer Behaviour. During my time here studying in London, Ontario, when I'm not hitting the books, I'm dancing with my crew. Dance is a very important part of my life. As a passionate dancer, it acts as another medium for me to express myself. Other fun facts, I'm a huge NBA and UFC fanatic, I am an only child, loves to eat and am extremely friendly (so don't be afraid to say hi!) I love living in our media and culture filled world!
What is unique that's not in your bio?
I'm allergic to mango. Yes, I do know what I am missing out on.
How do you define cool?
slightly warmer than cold, still colder than warm.
What is your secret to uncovering trends?
Keeping your eyes open at all times. That applies anywhere: on the internet, on the street, especially among your friends. Wacky and cool trends are more available to your eyes then you think. See something and make a mental note about it.
What do you enjoy most about Trend Hunter?
The mere fact that there is a trend about just about anything you can think of! That's pretty cool.
What is your favorite trend?
Trends are always changing and growing, so I can't say I have one favourite trend. However, at this very moment, I am loving the trend of bringing wood into our everyday fashion. Sunglasses, necklaces, iPhone cases, earrings, even bowties! A touch of maple is awesome for your everyday look.
How do you reset to be creative?
Blast some of my favourite tracks and dance it out.
What inspires or excites you?
As a dancer, it's important for me to always look for inspiration. One of my biggest forms of inspiration comes within the circle of friends that I am from. Most of these friends are also dancers, and watching them work hard and improve can only inspire me to strive to do the same!
Predict something awesome for 2020?
If we survived the zombie apocalypse, I predict we will all have cellphones which allow us to communicate via hollograms. It's like FaceTime in 3D!
