Avril Lavigne to Become Manga C... Whew... I was getting worried for a second. Luckily, Manga, like Champagne is only named so because it comes from a specific region of the world. Manga only comes from Japan, with Japanese authors and artists. Anything else should be referred to as Manga-style comics. Bloody Performances ..And no one else notices the irony of MTV handing out video awards? A channel that does not show any music videos handing out awards for music videos? The awards might as well come from FOX News or MSNBC. Music videos are no longer important enough be apart of the "main" channels programing. These days you'd even be lucky to find a video on MTV2...videos are now relegated to the extended versions of VH1 (vh1 classic, vh1 soul, etc) because even vh1 is now just a funnel to cram as much reality tv down the public's throat as possible. There is too much emphasis on price and materials of the things that make women happy. Gold and diamonds are all fine and good but greed is not becoming of anybody. To summarize: Luxury Items (that's jewelery,expensive furniture, expensive clothes, art, and marriage - yes, that's a luxury item), food, alcohol and sex toys (so any sex other than the person your with?) Skyscraper Cities Its a great ideal, not to mention visually stunning...That is if your a person lucky enough to be on top of the towers. If this were to actually happen you would see a separation of classes start to happen...those wealthy enough will live up top in a clean pristine environment while everyone else lives in the discarded city below...treated like 2nd class citizens in world perpetually in a murky twilight because during the day the towers would block almost all the light from the sun while holding in all the smog that would usually escape to higher altitudes. At night there would be a perpetual ambient glow from the cities above. I've seen this same scenario played out in countless anime (Ar Tonelico), video games(Final Fantasy 7, Ledgend of Dragoon, Xeno Gears) and movies (Solaris, The Jetsons movie -lol) and it always ends the same...the towers fall.
