Look what political correctness has done to this generation. My junior high school in Las Vegas had Friday Afternoon Fights after school, refereed by the biggest PE teacher in the school. We signed up for each week's fights and agreed that we would fight clean, no kicking, and we could only strike our opponent with our bare fists. As soon as one kid said he had enough, or was really getting beaten in the judgement of the PE teacher referee, the fight was stopped. Granted, there were no cages, and the fights were held just on the other side of the school boundary in an open field, so they were not on school property, but NOBODY WENT TO THE NEWSPAPERS to cry about the brutality! Nobody whined about losing, or told their parents they were having organized fights at school. It was none of their business. And nothing ever happened to the PE teacher because nobody saw anything wrong with our fights. We resolved our differences honorably and without the danger of getting really beaten severely, which can occur in unsupervised school fights. Today, everything is so shocking, so wrong, and so immoral! I'm really happy that I'm not growing up in this generation and this world. There's just too much whining, and way too many do-gooders trying to watch out for all the rest of us! We'd all be better off if people would just mind their own business and not worry about everyone elses. We can all take care of ourselves if we just try. PH Comment by Patrick Henry |

I wonder why people just don't decide that it's time to quit, AND SIMPLY QUIT! And never light up another one ever again, just to have, "just one more." You pitched softball with BOTH ARMS???!!! Not very many people have ever done that, I'll bet! Then you had to practice twice as much and work twice as hard as "ordinary" softball pitchers...NO WONDER YOU FIND SO MANY TRENDS!!! I recently had the good fortune to try two flavors of these fabulous "brews," Black Currant and Apple. I poured them into a frozen beer mug "fishbowl" and it looked just like beer, but the TASTE WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD! I can't wait to be able to buy Hoppers in the USA!!! Comment by Patrick Henry |
