Not the first at all. I have owned a perfectly functional belt without a buckle for more than 10 years. I bought it at a crafts show and it is a very simple pattern. The belt is about 1 1/2 inches at one end with a blunt end and two slits near that end parallel to the end. The belt narrows slowly until at the other end it is narrow enough to fit through the slits. To close the belt, you slimply put the narrow end through the nearest slit, then through the other slit, then back through the first slit. What is more, the belt was black on one side and brown on the other. Excellent. Comment by Donna Carty |
